My paintings often start with a series of expressive marks reminiscent of natural textures, strongly influenced by my upbringing in Kansas and adulthood in Washington state.
Tree bark, tides, and snowy plains are referenced throughout my process, building up layered geographies that welcome the viewer to at once escape and feel deeply at home.
